Lemon Ginger Detox Drink

Lemon Ginger Detox Drink

Jump Start Your Metabolism and Digestion

Start your morning routine with a healthy dose of detoxifying lemon ginger water to boost energy and metabolism. Lemon water is famously consumed by health-conscious celebrities to jump start digestion. My version adds cayenne, turmeric, and fresh grated ginger for a potent morning drink. Together, this trio of spices can improve digestion, regulate blood glucose levels, reduce inflammation, and lower cholesterol.

It Isn’t Magic. It’s Science!

Ginger

Ginger has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. Fresh ginger is beneficial any time of day, but consuming it on an empty stomach enhances its role in stimulating the production of digestive enzymes.

Turmeric

Turmeric, a bright yellow-orange spice popular in Southeast Asian cuisine, comes from a root in the ginger family — curcuma longa. Its primary active ingredient, curcumin, can reduce the inflammation caused by chronic conditions like colitis. Turmeric has also been shown to lessen pain and improve memory.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is rich in Vitamin A and plays an important role in vision, immune, and reproductive system health. The plant compounds in cayenne peppers have abundant antioxidants to ward off environmental toxins, a function that in turn reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer.

More Health Benefits

Make my Lemon Ginger Detox Drink a regular part of your morning routine for supercharged immunity. It’s also effective at soothing pregnancy nausea and cold and flu season symptoms.
